The Base Plate Design Should Be Suitable To Be Used With 32mm Dia Spikes Directly On The Ground As Detailed In Drawing No.m/trd/sk/801 As Well To Be Used With Sleeper. Both Rdso Drawing For The Mast And Drawing For Modified Base Plate Are Enclosed. The Base Plate Of The Bottom Piece Of The Emergency Mast Should Be Of The Same Size As Detailed In The Base Plate Of Drawing No.m/trd/sk/801. Tubular Steel Section Of Adequate Thickness Suitable For 20 Mm Dia Through Bolt Should Be Provided By Welding On One Side In The Base Plate Of The Bottom Piece Of The Emergency Mast. Two Numbers Of Tubular Steel Sections Of The Same Size As In The Base Plate Of Mast Should Be Provided In The Top Piece Of The Modified Base Plate. This Should Facilitate Erection Of Emergency Mast Quickly And Easily By Placing The Mast On Modified Base Plate By Inserting And Aligning A Long Bolt On These 3 Welded Tubular Sections. Photograph Of The Arrangement Is Also Enclosed For Reference. Further, Scope Of Supplyincludes Supply Of 8+4=12 Nos. Of Spikes As Detailed In The Base Plate Drawing Described Above And 1 No Ofthrough Bolt Of Size M20x550. Top Corner Plates A1,b1,c1 And D1 Should Be Firmly Welded With Bottom Sideof C Channels Marked As A, B, C & D In The Drawing. It Shall Be Noted That 4 Nos. Of Bottom Corner Plates Marked As A-1, B-1, C-1 And D-1 Of Size Exactly Same As That Of A1,b1,c1 And D1 With 20 Mm Dia Holes At The Corners Is Included In The Scope Of Supply, Which Should Be Supplied As Separate Pieces. Two Holes Suitable For Providing 16 Mm Bolt Should Be Made On Opposite Faces Of The Bottom Piece Of Mast At Approximately 450 Mm Height From The Base Plate.
