Tender For circular lifting magnet for lifting cold as well as hot material up to 600deg c in foundry environment . deep field coil design, copper wound for 220v dc operation, must include 03 leg chain and bail assembly, ext ernal electrical connectors and surge suppressor, heavy duty cast magnet designed for severe scrap handling d uty similar to ohio make model 66dcwx, confirming to the following specification for single magnet characteri stics- 1. cold current - 105 amps max. 2. cold power- 18.5 kw 3. self-weight should not be more than 5ton in clusive of chain, bail and other accessories 4. duty cycle: min. 50%, 24 hrs./ day 7 days/ week, to allow extra ha ndling time of hot materials at 10minutes lift cycle 5. diameter of magnet: 66inches -1 inch +3inch (1650mm -25. 5mm/+50mm) 6. lifting capacities shall not be less than (a) pig iron: h m s - 5200 lbs. (2359kgs) (b) broken/cu t scrap: 2700 - 3300 lbs. (1225-1497kgs) (c) steel turnings: 1700 lbs. (771kgs) note: the tolerance in lifting c apacity must be +/-25% of the above mentioned ranges at all operating conditions. 7. magnet conductor shall be of premium electrical grade copper with 99.99% purity with class h insulation for maximum coil life under severe operation. 8. magnet shall be of high grade cast steel welded construction for strength and waterproof. 9. heavy duty, nonmagnetic bottom plate & sealing plate, made of wear resistant & work hardened manganese steel shall be used to protect the coil from damage caused by impact including bumping plate. 10. additional protection from moisture & impact is to be provided to the coil with the use of non-magnetic manganese sealing plate.11. heavy duty, annealed alloy steel 3-legged chain with a master hook bail is to be provided.12. suspension lugs should be heavy-duty & pins shall be provided to connect the chain to the magnet. 13. suitable rating surge suppresser (me tro cell) shall be introduced in the magnet. 14. electrical connectors: - plug-in type connectors made from a size of 25 sq. mm 2 - conductor type "w" magnet cable, 2000v dc rated for durability and ease of replacement. 15. e xternal connectors to be clamped and protected with a shield. 16. 08 hrs. heat rise to be performed to verify mag net integrity. temperature rise test, high voltage test and insulation resistance test should be performed and reco rded for traceability and future reference. note: 1. magnet must be same or similar in all respects to the 66 inch ( 1676 mm) dcwx model, ohio make magnets. 2. all relevant tests and test certificates shall be submitted alon g with the supply. 3. the manufacturer shall carry out continuous load test. 4. warranty: 24 month from the date of commissioning and proving out of m&p. 5. stage inspection by tpi before closing the magnet and inspection r eport to be submitted by the firm to rwp/bela with the supply. 6. tenderer shall indicate the service support avail ability. stage inspection by tpi before closing the magnet (as 100% of po qty.)
