(a) description (b) part no mps-12 unit mkld.466229.050 tu (c) make russia (d) si no. 050100745 (e) year of purchase 2016. 2. purpose. the mps-12 unit, pt. no. mkld.466229.050 tu is microcomputer based equipment designed to display aircraft radar data and status of radar equipments on the screen. 3. defects. mps-12 unit, pt. no. mkld.466229.050 tu, si no. 050100745 has been loaded on repair order vide repair order k/ro/k31/2024/2148 dated 06 apr 24 by mo (goa). during function checks of the unit found display becomes white after 5 minutes of operation. further unit confirmed defective during workshop test. 4. repair. (a) identifying the defect utilising the standard electrical and electronic tests/ fault analysis techniques available in the industry. the work is required to be undertaken by qualified technicians. support document for qualified technicians be submitted by the firm. the repair methodology/ repair process undertaken to identify defective component be submitted. (b) replacement of defective bds by utilising mil standard serviceable spares supplied by oem/ oem authorised vendors. suitable certificate of conformity from firm be submitted. further, colour photographs/ video recordings of components replaced during the repairs be submitted with old items replaced. (c) submission of report regarding details of testing, if any, carried out for mps-12 unit in the firm premises. in case such test has been undertaken at firm nromioca thon details of the equipment utilised for testing and qa clearance/ ca applicable) of the test set be submitted. (d) association of firm's engineers for functional, integration anu user acceptance trials at nay (goa). (e) certificate of origin from firm be provided (if imported spares are used). (f) warranty certificates from firm be provided (as applicable). (g) inspection by the yard qa would be undertaken post completion of repairs during user acceptance trials which includes functional checks on aircraft, inspection for transit damage/ visual checks for abnormalities, correctness and completeness of item along with valid documents as per repair order. (h) the item will be tested on sk-801 radar test bench at workshop. if the item fails during testing, the firm agrees to undertake repairs of the item on foc basis irrespective of time elapsed since supply of item to indian navy..
