Tender For 25 kv earthing/discharge rod assembly for high rise ohe with working voltage 25 kv ac traction with top clamp (suitable for 36 to 50 mm bus bar and also suitable for 10 to 20 mm dia. conductor) . pole made of cast resin or resin-bonded glass fibre, coated with three coats of poly- urethane, the discharge /earthing pole assembly shall have an overall length of not less than 7.5 meters in five equal sections. single core flexible multi strand annealed copper cable should have double insulation, a cross section of 40 sq mm of size 248/0.45 mm and 14 meter long cable (specification is: 1554 (pt. i)- 1988 and is 2071 (pt. 1 and iii). with earthing double clamp drg. no. eti/ohe/sk/482 or latest (each discharge rod is to be supplied with 02 nos. earting clamps), insulated tee junction- insulated tee junction drg no. eti/ohe/sk/481 and re/33/p/530 or latest (the cable should have an insulated tee junction and the tee clamp should be of brass covered in clamp casing of ebonite material). and whole assembly to be supplied in rugged canvas bag and all shall be as per rdso specification no. eti/ohe/51 (9/87) with latest a and c slip no. 1 (10/92) or latest , and additional part required with each discharge rod to be supply. (4) special instruction- 1. discharge rod cable lugs should be made of copper. 2. the cable should have double insulation, a cross- section of 40 sq mm, and 248/0.45 mm strands. 3. the discharge rod should be strong enough to prevent swaying or breaking during maximum extension. every nut and bolt used in the discharge rod must include a washer and spring washer to ensure secure fastening. 5. after the award of the p.o., the firm must ensure approval of one sample of the discharge rod from the consignee before rites inspection. 6. the length of cable from the earthing clamp to top clamp shall not be less than 12.5 mtr. in the cable an insulated tee junction shall be provided at a distance of about 3.5 mtr from the earthing clamp. from this insulated tee junction another piece of cable not less than 1.50 m long shall be provided at the end of which other earthing clamp shall be provided. 7. the galvanizedsteeltube (threaded) used for coupling of pieces of discharge rod should be at least 20 cm or more as required to prevent swaying of pole assembly during erection at site. also at every 5 cm apart two nos steel rivet is required to be provide on galvanizedsteeltube ( for preventing the galvanizedsteeltube from coming out from each discharge rod pole end). i.e. about 08 nos. or more steel rivet as required per galvanizedsteeltube is to be provided for proper fastening of galvanizedsteeltube inside the each pole of discharge rod.
