Tender For custom bid for services - annual maintenance contract of opgw-under the system coordination and control project of eastern region, fiber optic cabling system in lieu of microwave links project of eastern region and fiber optic cabling system under er-expansion project, er-additional requirement project, er opgw strengthening project, powergrid diversification in to telecom (pdt ) project , powergrid has installed optical fibre cable-opgw over various transmission lines situated in west bengal, odisha ,bihar, jharkhand and sikkim .the opgw consists of 24 fibre cable spreading across eastern region ( west bengal, odisha ,bihar ,jharkhand & sikkim). the opgw has been installed on transmission lines of 765 kv, 400kv, 220kv, 132kv levels. the optical links being the backbone of communication link used for eastern region grid, healthiness of the links is of paramount importance. accordingly, links are required to be maintained for continuous availability of speech and data at various control centres. in order to achieve the same powergrid intends to avail the services of contractor/s involved in commissioning/ maintenance of opgw links on live lines. at present installed length of opgw link is about 12,816.83 km spread all over eastern region..
