Tender For custom bid for services - defect rectification of acsr 2 (south tower)-defect., in has reported that tracks are not available on display of acsr #2., defect identification., di for the same was undertaken on 13 jun 2025. it was found that the pedestal unit, was required to be replaced to rectify the defect., scope of work to undertake defect rectification., 1. spare part., the required pedestal unit for replacement will be provisioned by in on site. all other, components/ units of acsr #2 should be in place to operationalize the system., 2. manpower., three skilled technicians will be required to undertake the pedestal replacement work., one tower climber also needs to be available on site. the tower climber and two, technicians will be provisioned by hela., 3. material/ machinery., one overhead crane with a loading capacity of one ton lifting to a height of 35 mtrs is, required to undertake the work. the same will be provisioned by in., 4. tools and accessory., the following are required and will be provisioned by hela:-, (a) torque wrench, (b) level indicator, (c) eye hook -02, (d) two 50 mtrs rope, (e) silicon, (f) drill machine, (g) lubricant, (h) slings for lifting, 5. activity to be undertaken., the sequence of events for replacement of pedestal unit will be as tollows:-, (a) disconnect and remove all cables, wave guide ard units from the antennae assembly., (b) fitment of lifting eye hook on antenna and pass lifting slings to the eye hook. dismantle antenna from pedestal unit and keep it on even surface on, the ground with the help of overhead crane. special care is o be undertaken while handling waveguide., (c) hook on the pedestal unit on overhead crane and op an securing bolts, of pedestal unit. lift the pedestal and move to the ground with cap closed of all connectors., (d) hook up new pedestal and lift it to the tower top and w hen aligned with, the position of pedestal plate lower the pedestal on the plate and tight the nut, bolt with level indicator on top of the pedestal to confirm tht the same is at, zero level., (e) lift the antenna to the top of tower and fix it to the pede stal unit., (f) install all units of acsr on top of tower and fix connectors and waveguide to the antenna., (g) switch on power and carry out power checks and fo (hecks., (h) switch on the acsr server and carry out alignment of system to get the tracks appeared on the display., 6. safety., all man working on tower should wear safety belt, safety helmet and safety belt to be, tied on two rigid point at tower top. the man below tower for handlin activity should, wear helmet. the antennae assembly and pedestal unit should be se cured with twopoint safety rope while lifting and lowering the same to avoid any dan age to the man, and material view heavy wind, lifting jerk or swing of the crane sling., .
