(confirm qty. 9291 tech hrs. + anticipated qty.- 1345 tech hrs.) 2. initially the work order shall be awarded for confirm qty. to the contractors. 3. if the anticipated qty. is confirmed, then it will be awarded to the contractors also. pattern manufacturing includes: a. layout of casting drawing in 1:1 scale b. preparation of wooden & thermocole segments planning, template making & cutting segments of desired size. provision for machining operation & drafting allowance should be kept. c. construction of pattern and as per lay out & riser screwing, nailing, dovelling & layer formation d. assembly of pieces and segments. e. hand finishing through hand files and sand paper f. machining (milling, turning) of patterns for profile & diameter preparation g. machine finishing of pattern with disc sander, bobbin sander etc. h. putty finishing of pattern. i. marking of riser, ingate & chill location in pattern & core box. j. self-inspection preparation of dimensional report of patterns k. repair and modification of old patterns.
